Dear Friend,

If you have recently visited any websites you might have seen those little ads on most web pages with “Ads by Google” beneath them.

If not, click here to go to  http://www.intercon-d.org

Do you see the two or three advertisements on the right side, in a vertical box, with the words “Ads by Google “   below?

Now scan through the text on the webpage, just to have an idea of the main topic of the page. Now look back at the ads. As you can see, all the ads are somehow related to the content of the page you are viewing.

As you can see, when you click on any of the ads, you will be taken to a web site or sales page giving information about a product or service made available by the advertiser.

The little ads are called “Adsense”. They are paid advertisements. Someone pays Google for placing these advertisements. Each time someone clicks on these ads, Google receives a payment (on a pay-per-click basis). And for allowing Google to place the ads on my site, Google shares some of that revenue with me.

We have already seen that the ads displayed on the page are relevant to the content of that page. Since people visit a website because they are interested in what the site is about, the chances of a visitor being interested in the product or service advertised, clicking on one of the ads, being taken to the advertiser’s site, and, hopefully, making a purchase from there, is very high. This is an efficient way for highly targeted advertising.

You can also partner with Google and have Adsense placed on any number of blogs and web pages as long as the pages carry well written, focused, content, and earn a steady, ‘automatic’, income. Whenever anyone, anywhere in the world, views your blog or website and clicks on any of the ads, you earn cash from Google. Imagine having hundreds of ads on hundreds of pages, ready to bring you bundles of cash 24 hours a day, seven days a week, year after year!

And no, as I said at the beginning, you don’t need a website to get started. I will show how you can get set up otherwise.

Before signing up for Adsense, you must first create your web pages which will carry the Google Adsense ads.

To begin with, and to test the waters without spending money, you can setup a blog.
